Turning off Tamper
ionKids
products were developed for children between the ages of 2 and 10. They
are designed to alert the parent or guardian if the Wristag is removed
from the child. There are, however, instances where your child doesn't want to wear the Wristag
or you have a child who is too big for the Wristag (such as an
adolescent or elderly with Alzheimer's) and you may find the Tag Holder to be the solution you
desire.
Please
remember that the latch provided with the Tag Holder is a simple spring
latch that a child could easily remove. With the Tamper disabled,
should the child remove the Tag Holder you would lose all contact with
the child through your Base Unit.
THIS DEVICE
IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE ON CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10. THIS
DEVICE SHOULD NOT BE USED IF IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE WEARER MIGHT REMOVE
THE TAG HOLDER WITHOUT PERMISSION.
To Disable
the Tamper Alert.
Your Base
Unit comes with a temporary Tamper Disable feature. You would need to
use this feature every time you activate the Wristag since TAMPER
ENABLED is automatically re-set at each Wristag activation. To
access the Tamper Disable feature:
-
Turn on the
Base Unit.
-
At any
screen press the MENU / SELECT button (top button on the right side of
the Base Unit)
-
Scroll to
the TAMPER option.
-
Scroll down
to DISABLE.
-
Press the
MENU / SELECT button again. This will confirm your selection ONLY FOR
THIS WRISTAG. You must follow these steps for each Wristag whose TAMPER
you wish to DISABLE.
Please note that Bluespan accepts no responsibility for any lost,
kidnapped, abducted, stolen or missing persons, property or pets that
were wearing WRISTAGS that had the TAMPER ALERT disabled. The
Wristag should only be disabled if the user of the Base Unit is
absolutely certain that the wearer of the Wristag will not remove the
Wristag or engage in behaviors or actions that might allow the Wristag
to be accidentally removed.
