We have improved our
FIND feature!
The following changes are effective on all BASE UNITS manufactured after
September 1, 2004.
Customers
who were monitoring several Wristags told us that when they used the
FIND feature it was, at times, difficult to determine which tag was the
one they were trying to FIND since all tags were beeping. So we
listened to what our customers said and provided an alternative.
BASE UNITS manufactured after September 1, 2004 now have a FIND ALERT
feature added to their menu choices. FIND ALERT allows you to set
the BASE UNIT to alert ALL tags being monitored or just the tag you are
FINDing.
If you have one of our newer units you can set FIND ALERT to your
preference by following these simple steps.

Turn on
the BASE UNIT.

Press the
MENU button (the top button on the right-hand side of the BASE
UNIT. The display should
appear as in the photo below.

Scroll up
to the FIND ALERT option. The display should appear as in the photo
below.

Press the
MENU / SELECT button again. The display should appear as in the
photo below.

Choose, by
scrolling, either ALERT ALL TAGS or ALERT ONE TAG.

Press the
MENU / SELECT button again to confirm you choice. If you changed
the ALERT to ALERT ONE TAG, then display will change and appear as in
the photo below.

The BASE
UNIT will then return to the MENU screen. The default
setting is ALERT ALL TAGS. When you make a change to the FIND
ALERT feature the change remains even if you turn off the BASE UNIT.
How do I know if I have the FIND ALERT feature on my BASE UNIT?
Simply
follow the above steps and see if the FIND ALERT option appears on the
MENU screen.
What do I do if I want to add FIND ALERT to my BASE UNIT?
There is no
way we can upgrade your unit over the Internet or by sending you an
upgrade disk. You need to return your BASE UNIT (and only the BASE
UNIT) to us for the upgrade. You will be responsible for paying
shipping costs to BLUESPAN and we will pay shipping costs back to you.
You should use a shipment method that allows you to track your
package (such as FedEx, UPS or by obtaining a tracking option at the US
Postal Service). You may want to insure your shipment as well. (We
recommend insurance for $100.00.) Be sure you pack and pad your
BASE UNIT well so it doesn't get damaged in shipping. We will upgrade your BASE UNIT
within one business day of receipt and will ship it back to you by
FEDEX.
What are the shipping instructions I need to follow to upgrade by BASE
UNIT?

Do I need to get this upgrade?
No.
This upgrade is optional and primarily affects units that are used for
monitoring multiple Wristags. However, in this upgrade we also add some
software enhancements that make your BASE UNIT operate slightly more
efficiently. You will not find any differences in range, battery
life or other features by having this upgrade installed.
